Local media in Miami has confirmed that Inter Miami CF will visit the White House on March 5th to commemorate the team's victory in the 2025 MLS Cup, with Lionel Messi expected to attend alongside the team.

Sources within Inter Miami CF have verified this information. The source added that "all members" of the team will attend the ceremony with United States President Donald Trump, meaning captain Lionel Messi will also be present.

Inter Miami CF will face D.C. United away on March 7th local time, so the team will travel to the White House two days in advance for the visit.

This will mark Messi's first visit to the White House. In January 2025, Messi was invited to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom from then-President Joe Biden, but he declined the invitation citing a scheduling conflict.

This will also be the White House's second reception of a football superstar following Cristiano Ronaldo's visit in November last year.
