According to media reports, the £4 million residence of Manchester City centre-back Ruben Dias has been burgled, with thieves making off with items worth thousands of pounds.

The targeted burglary took place on Wednesday night, when Dias was playing for Manchester City against Galatasaray at home, and his girlfriend Maya was filming Love Island: All Stars in South Africa. It is reported that the thieves stole items worth thousands of pounds, including designer clothing, jewellery and electronic products.
The couple had only recently moved into this mansion, a prize from an Omaze prize draw, which is understood to have a monthly rent of as high as £20,000. It is said that after returning from an away match, Dias found his home ransacked and valuable items missing, and immediately called the police.
A source close to the couple said: “They are absolutely heartbroken. This is the first home they have moved into together since their relationship began, and it means a great deal to them. Fortunately, neither of them was at home when the incident happened, but the invasion of their private space has left them extremely upset.”
The insider also revealed to reporters: “Maya was incredibly proud to have this first home together with Dias. She took a lot of videos and photos in the house and shared them on her social media platforms. Before this, Maya had been commuting to London while Ruben lived in an apartment in the city centre. That’s why this property is so precious to them.”
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police told the media: “Shortly after 11:10 pm on Wednesday, 28 January, police received a report of a burglary at a property on Woodbrook Road in Alderley Edge.”
The spokesperson added: “Officers attended the scene and found that the property had been broken into and a number of items stolen. An investigation is currently underway, and anyone with information can contact Cheshire Police on the non-emergency number 101 or provide details via the police website.”
As early as last November, witnesses saw the couple viewing properties together, and this Omaze prize mansion in Alderley Edge was the one they set their sights on. The mansion was originally won by Ms Emily Ward who spent £25 on the prize draw, and she still remains the registered owner of the property.
This stunning mansion covers an area of 6,300 square feet, with four bedrooms, panoramic views, an exquisite landscaped garden, a luxury indoor leisure suite, and a high-end security system installed.
